This short course aims to develop and increase your knowledge, understanding and skills in management and leadership so you can effectively transition from being a clinician to a healthcare leader in the 21st century.
With a focus on preparing you for leadership roles, you will explore the differences between management and leadership, and discuss the key elements between technical work versus management versus leadership, and why these elements matter in leading others within your health setting.
Additionally, you will gain insights from evidence-based research for leading in the context of the future of health and explore the leadership characteristics and styles for leading effectively: now and in the future.
By the end of this course, you will be able to identify your strengths and weaknesses of the way you like to lead and discover how your current leadership styles affect others as we discuss the impact of leadership on teamwork, performance and organisational climate (or the work culture).
We will also look at your current and future skills for transitioning from a clinician to a healthcare leader, learning new behaviours while diminishing old, competing behaviours.
Join this short course to learn how leadership impacts on your work, the organisational culture and put yourself in other's shoes to affect change and growth.
1:1 coaching is available in this short course for application of learning back in the workplace, now and in the future.
Places are limited!
